The Best Big & Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies Ever!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups All purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 3/4 cup Unsalted butter
  • 1 cup Brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Egg yolk
  • 2 cups Semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325? Line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Sift together flour, baking soda & salt; set aside.
  3. In medium bowl, cream together the melted butter and sugars until well blended. Beat in vanilla, egg and egg yolk until light & creamy.
  4. Mix in the sifted ingredients until just blended. Fold in chocolate chips by hand.
  5. Drop dough onto cookie sheets (approx 1/4 cup), about 3 inches apart.
  6. Bake for 15-17 minutes. Remove from oven and cool on baking sheets for a couple minutes before moving to wire cooling rack. I place a tea towel over the wire racks and put the cookies on top of the towel. The cookies seem to stay softer this way.
